A foggy morning in Pulpit Harbor and a strong SW wind made us change our planned itinerary and we headed north to the Castine area.
Our stay in Pulpit Harbor was good - we anchored in Cabot Cove with five other sailboats, so it felt a little crowded - but we had a peaceful sleep.
We had a fast sail up to Castine with SW winds at 20 knots - as we rounded the point into Smith Cove, there was an enthusiastic race going on.
Protected by the shoreline, we had a gentle evening anchored in 10 ft. and shared the anchorage with America's oldest continuously used sailboat, the Steven Taber, now used as a windjammer for cruises.
Even Rincewind's crew was happy!
